Cadets must notify Ship's Office in writing when they plan on being away. Failure to do so will be considered Away Without Leave (AWOL).
Cadets are allowed three (3) absences during the training year without impact to their perfect attendance record.
Attendance is mandatory on Thursday evenings, Full Ship's Company practices, Remembrance Day, Battle of the Atlantic Sunday, and the Annual Inspection.

Through the Cadet's Divisional Officer
If you know the dates for which you will require leave, inform your Divisional Officer as soon as you can. A letter stating the cadet's rank and name, reason, and dates for leave is required. |

Cadets may also notify Ship's Office by telephone, but this is not official (notification in writing is required).
